Italian gaming powerhouse Lottomatica Group has finalized its acquisition of SKS365, a significant move that solidifies its position in the country's vibrant betting and gaming market.
Last November, Lottomatica Group initiated the acquisition deal with SKS365, which boasts renowned brands such as Planetwin365 and PlanetPay365, along with an extensive retail network comprising 1,000 sports betting shops across Italy.
With the acquisition now complete, Alexander Martin, who has served as CEO of SKS365 since December 2019, will step down from his role, marking the beginning of a new era for the company.
Expressing his sentiments on the milestone, Martin stated, “This marks a significant milestone for SKS365, heralding the start of a new chapter. Due to the inherent changes to my role, I will be stepping down as CEO of the company. It has been my great honor to lead SKS365 since 2019. Together, we have built an excellent and successful company."
He continued, highlighting the company's achievements under his leadership, "Throughout my tenure, we have faced several industry and business challenges, but with resilience and teamwork, we have overcome them. We have fundamentally improved our product offerings and customer experience and substantially invested in our people."
Martin expressed gratitude to the employees, shareholders, and the board for their support, saying, "I want to sincerely thank every single employee at SKS365 for your dedication and contributions. I would also like to extend my special thanks to the shareholders and the board for their trust and collaborative spirit over the years."
Looking ahead, Martin conveyed his best wishes to the SKS365 team as they embark on a new journey under the Lottomatica Group, stating, "For the future, I wish all SKS365 employees the very best as you continue your journey with the Lottomatica Group.
