In a strategic move marking a new chapter for Relax Gaming, the iGaming aggregator and content supplier has appointed Martin Stålros as CEO.
Stålros, who brings over a decade of experience with the company, assumes the helm with a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record of driving growth and value.
Martin Stålros steps into the role, succeeding Simon Hammon, who served as CEO since 2022. Hammon, who spent three years as Chief Product Officer before becoming CEO, will remain with the company until October 2024 to facilitate a smooth transition.
Patrik Osteraker, Chairman of the Board at Relax Gaming, expressed confidence in Stålros, stating, "Martin has been involved with Relax from the very early days and has had a material impact on the success of the company. As the business and organisation continues to mature and grow, we feel that Martin has the ideal profile needed to support and guide us on our ambitious growth trajectory."
Simon Hammon, reflecting on his tenure, endorsed Stålros as the natural successor, affirming his belief in Relax Gaming's future under Stålros' leadership.
He remarked, "Martin’s extensive understanding of the company’s DNA, offering, and team, along with his passionate yet pragmatic approach, will enable him to successfully steer Relax to achieve all the goals set."
In his statement, Martin Stålros expressed excitement about his new role and the company's growth prospects. "Having the opportunity to step up as CEO after seeing the company grow from 30 to 350 people during my time as COO is tremendously exciting," he said.
